About Robin Zachary

"I wish I had a mentor in my early days in the business to help me explore what kind of styling I wanted to pursue. That's why I created The Prop Styling Experience. My workshops are unique laboratories for experimentation and self-discovery, perfect for anyone who needs guidance navigating through the many creative possibilities that await them."

As a self-proclaimed smart shopper and vintage junkie with a passion for ephemera and handmade objects, I’m always on the hunt for my next great prop, scouring thrift shops, boutiques, and tag sales both at home and on my travels. I truly believe in the emotional connection between a photograph and its viewer, and strive to unlock the components of that connection. I love devising a narrative and selecting just the right objects to create photographs that tell that story. My hope is that The Prop Styling Experience will awaken in my students that same hunger for original storytelling and the perfectly composed image.

I am a NYC-based tabletop, prop and craft stylist and I’m Contributing Home Editor of Bridal Guide Magazine, where I was formerly the Creative Director – a job that provided me the opportunity to style and direct hundreds of fashion and still life shoots around the world. Past and present teaching gigs: The Fashion Institute of Technology, New York Botanical Gardens, Photoville and The Penumbra Foundation. I’m a regular attendee of the New York Tabletop Market, trend forecasting lectures and industry conferences always seeking knowledge in my field. My clients span corporate product brands, national magazines, e-commerce, and social media.
