ABOUT ROBIN ZACHARY

I’m a sMART SHOPPER & VINTAGE Junkie

With a passion for ephemera and handmade objects. I'm always on the hunt for my next great prop, scouring the web, thrift shops, and boutiques all over the world.. I truly believe in the emotional connection between a photograph and its viewer, and strive to unlock the components of that connection, devising narratives and selecting just the right objects to tell that story. My hope is that The Prop Styling Experience will awaken in my students that same hunger for original storytelling and the perfectly composed image. Curious how this shows up in my work? “I wish I had a mentor in my early days in the business to help me explore what kind of styling I wanted to pursue. That’s why I created The Prop Styling Experience. My workshops are unique laboratories for experimentation and self-discovery, perfect for anyone who needs guidance navigating through the many creative possibilities that await them.”

Robin is a New York City based prop and food stylist, educator and speaker. She has styled for national brands and media over the last 25 years and has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, The New York Times and Where Women Create. She is on the teaching faculty of The Fashion Institute of Technology and New York Botanical Gardens.
